Alice Elizabeth 'Libby' Neiman was born in her home on Shafer Hill, May 31, 1930 in Nashville, Brown County, Indiana. She was the eighth of nine children raised on a large family farm in Indiana. She married Richard Neiman May 3, 1951, in Columbus, Indiana and together they raised four children in Houston. Libby was a homemaker and loved working in her flower beds and maintaining her beautiful yard and was proud of the ‘Yard of the Month' awards that she received. Libby was also an avid reader, reading at least one book a day.
