SANDUSKY, Ohio – Cedar Point will replace Top Thrill Dragster with a new record-breaking roller coaster, Top Thrill 2, adding a second 420-foot-tall tower spike, three launches and a top speed of 120 mph. The new ride will debut next year, a remake of a ride that was the world's tallest and fastest when it debuted in 2003. The announcement of the new incarnation of Top Thrill Dragster comes two years after the ride was shut down following a horrific accident that seriously injured a Michigan woman.
