Sarah Loretta Hobbs Edina, Minn. Sarah Hobbs was born on March 17, 1933, in Bowling Green, Mo., to the union of Robert and Rena Smith. She was preceded in death by her loving parents and her son, Carl Hobbs; and her brothers Jewell, Milford, and Bill Smith Sarah moved to Cedar Rapids in the early years of her life, where she received her Associate degree from Kirkwood Community College. She lived there until 1983 and then moved to Chicago, Ill., where she retired from Marshall Field’s Department Store in 1996.
